The Briton who won the £ 111.5million Euromillions jackpot takes the ninth biggest payout
The winner of the massive £ 11.5million Euromillions prize received the huge amount paid to him.
Camelot has confirmed to have offered an incredible EuroMillions jackpot of £ 111,540,000 to a single UK ticket holder in the draw on Friday June 4, 2021.
Andy Carter of Camelot, Senior Advisor to National Lottery Winners, said: “We are delighted to have been able to pay off this incredible EuroMillions jackpot – the ninth biggest in the history of the National Lottery – and we hope the ticket lucky – the holder will appreciate his victory.
“By purchasing a ticket to EuroMillions or any other National Lottery game, players generated an average of £ 36million each week for National Lottery funded projects in 2020/21.
“This money helps support everything from the local charity that makes a difference where you live to supporting the country’s elite athletes.”
This is the fourth EuroMillions jackpot paid in the UK this year.
Just two months ago, a lucky ticket holder, who chose to remain anonymous, won the incredible £ 122.5million jackpot in the April 2 draw, instantly becoming the fifth biggest winner of the national lottery of all time.
April turned out to be a lucky month for UK EuroMillions players, as the £ 122.5million payout was followed by a £ 59million payout in the April 20 draw.
At the start of the year – on New Years Day – a single UK banknote holder, who also chose to remain anonymous, took in £ 39million.
The country’s biggest national lottery win was a £ 170million jackpot won by an anonymous ticket holder in the EuroMillions draw on October 8, 2019.
