Josh Duggar’s Lawyers Want Child Pornography Case Dismissed | Entertainment

Lawyers for 19 children and count Star Josh duggar asked a judge to dismiss the child pornography case against him.
E! News obtained copies of the record, in which Duggar’s attorneys asked the court to dismiss the two charges against him, that of possession and receipt of child pornography.
His lawyers say investigators failed to preserve “exculpatory evidence” that could have helped exonerate Duggar, 33. that they claim to deserve the dismissal.
In addition to requesting the referral, lawyers for the reality TV star also asked the court to prevent certain evidence from being presented in court, if it were to be tried, such as the statements Duggar provided to the police. before speaking to their lawyer, as well as photos of their client’s hands. and feet, which they claim are not allowed.
Duggar is accused of downloading material of child sexual abuse, some of which depicts children under the age of 12, and having it in his possession in May 2019, according to the indictment. He pleaded not guilty. If found guilty on all counts, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
Duggar has been the subject of several controversies over the years, starting in 2006 when he was investigated for allegedly assaulting five underage girls as a teenager. Since then, two of his sisters – Jill, 30 and Jessa, 28 – presented themselves as two of his victims.
