The Red Sox advance to the top-of-five in the AL Divisional Series against the Rays starting Thursday night in Tampa Bay. The other ALDS opener Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. is against the Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros.
The National League Wild Card Game will be played tonight (Wednesday) starting at 5:10 pm LA as the Dodgers host the St. Louis Cardinals.

Week 10 of the CFL season kicks off tonight (Wednesday 4:30 p.m. PT) with the Ottawa Redblacks at the Toronto Argonauts.
The BC Lions won’t play again until Saturday, October 16 when they host Calgary.

Week 5 of the NFL season begins Thursday with an NFC West: LA Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks clash.
The Arizona Cardinals lead the division at 4-0, followed by the Rams at 3-1 and the Seahawks and San Francisco 49’ers at 2-2.
Arizona are the only undefeated team in the league while two teams remain winless: Jacksonville and Detroit are 0-4.

The Canucks still have two exhibition games, a home and away game against the Oilers: Thursday in Edmonton and Saturday in Vancouver. Both start at 6:00 p.m. PT.

WHL (PG Cougars)
The Prince George Cougars (0-1) will visit the Vancouver Giants on Friday and the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday.
The Cougars’ next home games will be against the Victoria Royals on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.

The Prince George Spruce Kings are playing a few road games this week to open their regular season.
The Spruce Kings visit the Merritt Centennials on Friday and the West Kelowna Warriors on Saturday.
Prince George will be home Oct. 15-16 against Merritt.
British Columbia Elite Hockey League: (Cariboo Cougars & Northern Capitals)
The (2-2) Cariboo Cougars visit the South Island Royals in Victoria on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday morning at 7 a.m.

The UNBC Timberwolves are absent this week at Canada West Soccer. The Timberwolves only have four games left in each division. UNBC soccer teams will visit Fraser Valley on October 15 and 17 before welcoming Thompson Rivers on October 23 and 24 (at Masich Place from noon for women and 2:15 p.m. for men).
