EuroMillions Results – Two Irish punters win € 96,000 each as numbers for Friday June 18th jackpot draw of € 29 million
TWO Irish punters took home over € 96,000 each in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw.
Although there were no winners of the € 29 million jackpot or the € 500,000 Plus top prize, two lucky players found five numbers and a lucky star for a total of € 96,928.
In the main draw, a jackpot of € 29,998,047 was up for grabs, the numbers drawn were 11, 20, 27, 30 and 41 and the lucky stars were 3 and 5.
In EuroMillions Plus only in Ireland, the numbers were 12, 24, 26, 29 and 36.
Heads of the National Lottery said more than 58,000 Irish players have won prizes.
They said: “There was no EuroMillions Jackpot winner. In total, over 58,000 players in Ireland have won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, including 2 5 + 1 Lucky Star match winners receiving € 96,928 each. “
Meanwhile, a seaside store near Myrtleville Beach in County Cork was celebrating after selling a winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth € 2,469,871.
The ticket was sold on draw day, Saturday May 29, at O’Connell’s Foodstore in Myrtleville, County Cork.
The Quick Pick ticket matched the winning numbers: 9, 15, 28, 34, 39, 46 and the bonus number 26.
Shop owner Paul O’Connell was delighted to learn that his shop was the home of the last Lotto jackpot.
He said: “I will never forget getting the call from the National Lottery and hearing the good news that my shop sold a ticket worth € 2.4 million!
“I think as soon as the news starts to spread, there will be great excitement around town.
“One lucky customer started their summer really well. Hope the winner enjoys celebrating their victory and wish them all the best.
And days later, Lotto bosses revealed that an additional € 2.4million had been won by an online player in Galway in the June 5th draw.
